The practice suggested offers a way to experience this directly, through embodied awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For today&#8217;s practice, I invite you to listen to Bonnie Duran&#8217;s &#8220;Four Elements Instructions: Mindfulness of Earth Element&#8221; meditation. (28 minutes)<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dharmaseed.org\/talks\/78410\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.dharmaseed.org\/talks\/78410\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This guided practice uses a gentle, accepting body scan to explore the earth element as it is felt in the body &#8211; qualities such as hardness, density, and structure. Moving gradually from head to feet, Bonnie invites awareness of areas like the bones, teeth, and spine, encouraging a simple noticing of whatever sensations are present. There is no need to feel anything in particular, and no experience is considered better than another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the meditation, we are gently reminded to return to the body whenever the mind wanders, and to meet discomfort, if it arises, with care rather than force. The practice closes with a gratitude-based body scan, offering appreciation to different parts of the body for their ongoing support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are welcome to engage with the practice in a way that feels steady and easeful for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you listen, you might notice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Where solidity or support feels most present<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How the body responds when it is allowed to rest into contact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What it is like to experience the body as earth, rather than as something to manage or fix<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I invite you to share a brief reflection after practicing &#8211; you can reply to the email or comment below.
