{"id":1329,"date":"2022-01-16T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-16T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grzesina.net\/meditation\/?p=1329"},"modified":"2022-01-17T22:39:47","modified_gmt":"2022-01-18T04:39:47","slug":"january-16-take-a-pause-and-breathe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grzesina.net\/meditation\/january-16-take-a-pause-and-breathe\/","title":{"rendered":"January 16 &#8211; Take a pause and breathe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re midway through the month, and we have covered a lot of ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have reviewed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>intention<\/li><li>mindfulness (<em>sati<\/em>) and concentration (<em>samadhi<\/em>)<\/li><li>meditation anchors (body, breath, sound)<\/li><li>the balance wisdom and compassion<\/li><li>the feeling tone (<em>vedana<\/em>) of experience &#8211; pleasant, unpleasant, neutral<\/li><li>the hindrances &#8211; experiences that can be obstacles in meditation &#8211; and BELLA to work with them<\/li><li>working with thinking and thoughts<\/li><li>working with emotions<\/li><li>understanding suffering (<em>dukkha<\/em>)<\/li><li>the heart practices, so far delving into lovingkindness\/goodwill (<em>metta<\/em>) and compassion (<em>karuna<\/em>)<\/li><li>practices:<ul><li>mindfulness of body<\/li><li>mindfulness of breathing<\/li><li>mindfulness of thoughts<\/li><li>lovingkindness\/<em>metta<\/em><\/li><li>compassion<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather than cover something new, consider today a day of integration.
