As in previous years, I will send an email each day throughout the month of January. This year’s theme, Belonging to Nature: A Month with the Elements, offers a gentle, embodied exploration of the Buddhist elements – earth, water, fire, and air. Through short teachings, reflections, and simple practices drawn from early Buddhist texts, we will be invited to experience the body as part of the natural world rather than something fixed or owned. Days devoted to loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity help ground this exploration in care, balance, and a sense of belonging.
